Refurbishment and insulation

So we agree the phasing, the sections being worked on, scaffold access times and how the site is cleaned each day, right at the start. None of it appears in the bill of quantities, but it is the difference between work that is accepted and work that is disputed.
On industrial buildings, or those exposed to corrosive agents, refurbishment begins with assessing how far the structure has deteriorated. We then carry out strengthening, anti-corrosion protection and thermal protection according to what the assessment shows.

How long does insulating a residential block take?
It depends on the number of sections, the facade area and the weather. We set a section-by-section programme before starting, so the association knows exactly when work reaches each stairwell.
How do you handle cleaning and access during the work?
Site set-up covers storage areas, resident access routes and end-of-day cleaning. These are points we agree in writing at the start of the work, not as we go.
Can you assess a building before quoting?
Yes, we visit the site. For deteriorated or corrosion-damaged buildings, assessing the state of the structure is a precondition for choosing the strengthening solution and therefore for pricing it.
